Sunday Afternoon Gravel Road Ride...
After weeks of little to no riding, I finally got out for a gravel road loop this afternoon. The usual, Chalco Hills, 168th South over I80, Capehart to 192nd, and back to town. Late afternoon sun made for a perfect shadow against this little roadside hill. Fingers and toes started to go numb about the time I reached city limits....

Paul Rodriguez's Forecast
Paul Rodriguez, arguably one of the best skateboarders on the planet, pulled together a crew of practically unheard of skaters for this video. Obviously, he saw something in each of these skaters that warranted a full part in a skate video. Of course, P-Rod's part is insane! Is there anything this guy can't do switch?! But the highlight for me is definately Mike Mo's part! The kid kills everything!!

PHiSH - 11/17/97 McNichols Sports Arena - Denver, CO
This show is an absolute mind bender!! The first set is spectacular in itself. But the second set is over the top! Epic DwD, and on and on! 1997 is probably my favorite year of Phish, and this show just reminds me of how great the band was playing that year. I missed this show by one night! We went to 11/16, but couldn't stay another night for this epic! EFF!!! This is a must-own show!
Set One: Tweezer, Reba, Train Song, Ghost*, Fire
Set Two: Down With Disease-> Oblivious Fool-> Johnny B. Goode-> Space Jam-> Jesus Just Left Chicago, When the Circus Comes, You Enjoy Myself
Encore: Character Zero

The Disco Biscuits Confirm New Drummer
Disco Biscuits fans, REJOICE! The band should be back on the road soon with a new drummer. The following is from the official Disco Biscuits Web site. BISCO!
After several months of auditions and many weeks of deliberation, the Disco Biscuits are once again a four piece band.
It is with great pleasure and excitement that we would like to welcome to the band our new drummer, Allen Aucoin.
After many weeks of rehearsal with several drummers, Allen emerged at the head of the pack with an undeniable energy and a youthful exuberance that, in the end, was absolutely unparalleled. Simply put, Allen brought the heat, and the heat was HOT.
While we did find that there were many incredible drummers out there, there was only one that made us feel like we were truly dealing with that indescribable feeling called BISCO. When Allen Aucoin was beating the skins, bisco was in the air. You could close your eyes and it just felt right, and in the end, that was the biggest factor in our decision to take Allen. We like to call it the X-Factor.
So help us all in welcoming our incredible new drummer to the band, Allen "X-Factor" Aucoin. Come on out to the Tower Theatre on December 28th and help us to usher in a new era of The Disco Biscuits. Celebrate with us as we play Allen's first full show. We have been practicing for it for weeks now and will be fully charged and ready to go.
