Dredging The Platte River
A crew dredges the Platte River near Louisville, NE. Dec 10, 2005
These guys were on man-made sand bars in the middle of the river. I assume they're digging the river deeper to prevent ice dams...

actually, that bridge is being replaced, and they are probably setting up for forms for the next bridge. going to 6 lanes ya know.

i think you're talking about the i-80 bridge(?). this photo is from highway 50, just north of louisville. yah....
